A behind-the-scenes account of the explosive 1968 televised debates between liberal, Gore Vidal, and conservative, William F. Buckley Jr. and their rancorous disagreements about politics, God and sex.The film tracks how TV changed the way we talk about politics in America, and how these debates were the moment that turned politics on television from public service to spectacle.

 

The film was shortlisted for the 2016 Academy Award for best documentary film.
